About The Position
Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant in York, Pennsylvania, to support medical staff and clients in a behavioral healthcare setting. The role supports clients throughout their recovery journeys and contributes to care involving addiction treatment, mental health recovery, and eating disorder treatment. The schedule is 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with alternating weekends. Pay is $15–$16 per hour, based on experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Medical Assistant degree or certification.
Responsibilities
- Answer phone calls and assist with documentation and filing.
- Maintain and update client medical records.
- Support the admission process and obtain necessary consents.
- Assist with routine medical appointments.
- Take vital signs and collect urine screens, documenting results for clinical review.
- Complete and monitor lab requisitions and review results with the medical team.
- Assist with medication orders and prior authorization processes.
- Schedule follow-up medical appointments and coordinate external referrals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the medical team.
