About The Position
Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for its high-risk breast program. The Medical Assistant assists providers with the evaluation, management, and delivery of professional medical care in a busy multispecialty physician practice. The role floats between SLN and SLH and may float to other entities if applicable. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The successful candidate will help create a positive clinic experience through strong customer service, a positive attitude, and teamwork. Requirements
- Applicable experience: less than one year.
- Positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and willingness to be a team player.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient flow, provide customer service, establish rapport with patients, and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Conduct pre-visit planning, room patients, and obtain vital signs.
- Perform phlebotomy.
- Use the EMR system and scan or download documents.
- Conduct telephone screening using protocols.
- Obtain prior authorizations.
