About The Position

Performs ultrasonic recordings for the diagnosis of breast disease and assists radiologists with invasive procedures. Prepares rooms, supplies, and equipment for patient and physician needs, and performs other duties as assigned. The position is at Good Samaritan Medical Center’s Breast Center, a state-of-the-art center within a 333-bed acute care hospital.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited ultrasonography program.
• American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification.
• Breast Ultrasound registry; must obtain the registry within one year of hire.
• Current CPR (BCLS) certification.
• Three years of experience as an ultrasonographer, including one year of breast ultrasound experience involving invasive breast ultrasound procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasonic recordings to support the diagnosis of breast disease.
• Assist radiologists with invasive procedures.
• Prepare rooms, supplies, and equipment for patient and physician needs.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
