About The Position
MainStreet Family Care is seeking an energetic, fast, and friendly Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering care to patients. The role assists with patient intake, assessment, treatment, and discharge across urgent care, primary care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine services. PRN positions require scheduling flexibility, and there may be opportunities to travel to other clinics as needed. The position begins at $15 per hour. Pre-employment background checks and drug screenings are required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Flexibility with scheduling for the PRN position.

Nice To Haves
- Prior medical assisting experience or education is beneficial but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist providers in caring for patients to support optimal delivery of medical care.
- Triage patients promptly according to clinic procedures.
- Document vital signs, weight, and updates to patient medical histories before visits.
- Perform lab tests in accordance with clinical guidelines and provider instructions.
- Manage digital patient records and support the transition from paper records to electronic systems.
- Prepare examination rooms for appointments, ensuring they are clean and ready.
- Administer prescribed medications under provider supervision.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Position patients for x-rays according to provider directions.
- Help monitor and manage medical inventory as needed.
