About The Position

Baptist Health Urgent Care is hiring experienced Medical Assistants or Limited License X-Ray Techs for its Russellville, Arkansas team. The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to help ensure exceptional patient care. The role includes preparing patients, taking vital signs, assisting providers, and maintaining accurate records. The listed responsibilities describe general expectations and are not all-inclusive; other duties may be assigned.

Full-time team members work a rotating 36–40-hour-per-week schedule consisting of 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other-weekend work. PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled as needed. The posting lists separate benefits for full-time and PRN team members.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification.
• Willingness to obtain an Arkansas Limited X-Ray License is required.
• Experienced Medical Assistant or Limited License X-Ray Tech.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Medical Assistant certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promptly greet patients when they enter the waiting area, exam room, laboratory, or X-ray room.
• Communicate wait times to patients and direct them to the next step in the treatment process.
• Address patient problems and recognize when to seek help in emergent or hazardous situations.
• Conduct follow-up calls promptly.
• Assist front desk personnel with patient check-in and check-out procedures when necessary.
• Obtain and accurately document vital signs and weight; take brief histories, including past medical, family, and social history, current medications, allergies, and other pertinent information as appropriate.
• Assist with patient transfers.
• Assist with procedures under the direct supervision of a provider.
• Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation related to patient visits.
