About The Position

Memorial Hermann and GoHealth Urgent Care operate urgent care centers across the Greater Houston area. The Medical Assistant collaborates with Medical Providers, the Radiologic Technologist, and patients, providing support through patient care management, organization, and communication. The role performs limited-capacity X-rays and reports results to Medical Providers. The Medical Assistant completes work accurately, to a high standard, and on time, supporting the organization's goal of providing accessible, quality care through an effortless patient experience and a culture of care.

The stated hourly rate is $21.50–$29.50, with a monthly incentive bonus based on performance metrics.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT) program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire.
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures.
• Strong time-management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
• Social perceptiveness and a service-oriented approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assistant experience.
• Experience performing X-rays.
• One of the following certifications, in addition to LMRT: CCMA (NHA), CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), NCMA (NCCT), or NRCMA (National Association for Health Professionals).

Responsibilities

• Support Medical Providers, the Radiologic Technologist, and patients.
• Perform patient care management, organizational, and communication tasks.
• Perform limited-capacity X-rays for patients.
• Report X-ray results to Medical Providers.
• Complete activities accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner.
