About The Position
Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Technologists for PRN work in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The role performs X-ray testing and patient movement using knowledge of body mechanics, anatomy, and physiology. It operates diagnostic equipment, develops film, prepares rooms and supplies for procedures, and also performs Medical Assistant duties. PRN team members are scheduled on an as-needed basis.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- BLS Certification.
- Arkansas State X-Ray License.

Responsibilities
- Promptly greet patients in the waiting area, exam room, laboratory, or X-ray room.
- Communicate patient wait times and guide patients through the next step in the treatment process.
- Address patient problems and recognize when to seek help in emergent or hazardous situations.
- Complete follow-up calls promptly.
- Assist front desk personnel with patient check-in and check-out when necessary.
- Obtain and accurately document vital signs and weight, take a brief history, and record relevant medical, family, and social history, medications, allergies, and other information.
- Assist with patient transfers.
- Assist with procedures under the direct supervision of a provider.
- Follow documentation procedures and complete documentation related to patient visits.
- Perform timely radiology procedures for evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
- Perform quality-control procedures to ensure exams meet quality standards.
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and follow clinical and regulatory procedures for patient safety and care, including radiation protection and shielding.
- Ensure equipment is in working order and report malfunctions to the Manager or provider on duty.
- Maintain and improve diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills using available educational resources.
- Maintain current licensure and certification for facility radiology equipment and licensure.
