About The Position

The Medical Assistant I supports patient care in a dermatology practice, helping provide a positive and complete patient experience. The role includes welcoming patients, preparing them for visits, answering care-related questions, assisting providers with hands-on care and procedures, documenting visit notes, and fulfilling prescription orders. Medical Assistants also help maintain clinic supplies and equipment, support exam-room workflow, and contribute to an organized, efficient, and collaborative clinic environment. The position is based in a medical office, procedure/exam room, and laboratory environment. It may involve exposure to communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, biohazards, or toxic substances. Daily activities may include standing, walking, sitting, bending, and lifting items up to 30 pounds.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Successful completion of a state-approved Medical Assistant program; applicants with extensive experience may be considered unless prohibited by state law.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction; the employer will not sponsor work visas.
