Medical Assistant - Certified Medical Assistant
About The Position
This role is for a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in an adult outpatient clinic setting, specifically focusing on Surgery and Bariatric specialties. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience and is open to first-time travelers. The CMA will be responsible for rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and performing follow-up phone calls. The clinic sees an average daily census of 30 patients. The role involves floating to other clinics within Novant Health General Surgery and Bariatrics once a month. CMAs are required to bring their own stethoscope. The position offers 40 hours per week and includes 40 hours of clinic orientation. Navy blue scrubs are required and not provided.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 Years of Experience
- Traveler Experience: Clinic
- Adult Outpatient Clinic & Private Physician's Office Clinic Specialties Experience
- Surgery Experience
- Vital Signs Skills: Height/Weight, Obtain Vital Signs & Pulse Oximetry
- Professional Knowledge & Skills: Follow up phone calls & Rooming Patients
- Ability to work well with others
- On Time and Attendance
- BLS Certification
- CMA Certification
- Must bring own stethoscope
