About The Position

The Medical Assistant Apprentice Program is an entry-level, work-and-learn role in primary care that combines classroom instruction, clinical skills labs, and supervised on-the-job training in a fast-paced ambulatory care environment. The position is a 40-hour-per-week commitment. Apprentices gradually take on Medical Assistant responsibilities while developing skills through classroom and clinical training, supporting clinical teams with patient care and non-clinical services under the direction of healthcare providers. The role includes direct interaction with patients and collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to support comfortable, efficient care. Apprentices are matched to a practice location in the greater Boston area based on clinical needs, program requirements, and site availability.
