About The Position

Coverdale Clinics is seeking a Medical Administrative Assistant to join their infusion clinic team. This role is crucial for supporting patient-centered care by managing clinic operations. The Medical Administrative Assistant will be the behind-the-scenes engine ensuring the smooth functioning of the clinic, handling tasks from scheduling and supplies to documentation and communication.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Medical Office Administration or equivalent experience.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, EMR systems, faxing, and multi-line phone systems.
  • Ability to handle confidential patient information with the utmost discretion.
  • Critical thinking skills: ability to break down problems and solve them with clarity and logic.
  • Initiative: ability to act decisively, work efficiently, and get things done.
  • Accountability: ability to deliver on commitments and take responsibility for actions.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones, emails, and CRC chats.
  • Schedule appointments, prep charts, scan documents, and manage patient information securely and accurately.
  • Receive and verify pharmacy deliveries, place medications on ice, and ensure nursing staff completes double checks.
  • Help set up patient rooms and ensure equipment is cleaned and ready.
  • Monitor fax confirmations and support timely documentation, including Adverse Event and incident reports.
  • Place supply orders, prep patient kits, and track inventory.
  • Handle returns and ensure boxes are coordinated and tracked.
  • Stay current on LMS training, patient hold lists, and reconciliation reports.
