Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of EMR systems is an asset.
  • Experience in the health care field is considered an asset (ex: medical assistant, physiotherapy assistant, optometry assistant, orderly, dental assistant, pharmacy lab technician, sterilization assistant, animal health technician assistant, veterinary assistant, etc.).
  • Motivation and desire to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients, ensuring their files are accurate and complete.
  • Respond to patients' inquiries, providing exceptional service.
  • Admit patients for surgery and clinic appointments.
  • Work with electronic medical records, including scanning paperwork and data entry.
  • Confirm appointments and create invoices.
  • Perform a variety of clerical and administrative tasks to support the clinic operations.
  • Support the organization’s Risk Management program by identifying and promptly reporting patient safety concerns, incidents, or potential risks to clinic management, to assist in the organization’s overall efforts to identify, report, and mitigate risks.
