About The Position

The Med Tech assists residents at La Conner Retirement Inn with personal care and medication administration. The role includes supporting residents with daily living needs, communicating and coordinating with healthcare staff, department personnel, residents, and families, and maintaining records related to residents’ care and medications. Medication assistance must follow company protocol and state regulations. The position is listed as full-time/part-time, with a salary range of $19.50–$20.50 per hour.

Requirements

Must have medication certification.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must have good organizational abilities and communication skills.
Must be independent, energetic, creative, and have a pleasant approach.
Compassionate, patient, and kind, with a heart for working with senior adults.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with cleaning, bathing, dressing, eating, and personal hygiene.
Communicate with healthcare staff and department personnel, relay information about residents’ conditions, and maintain required written records and documentation.
Maintain communication with residents, their families, and support personnel to help ensure residents’ needs are continually met.
Assist residents with medication administration according to company protocol and state regulations.
Maintain MARs/TARs for each resident, including records of medicines ordered, received, and administered.
