About The Position
Spring Oak Senior Living at Bedford is hiring dependable, compassionate Med Techs / Registered Medication Aides (RMAs) to provide overnight resident care in an established senior living community. The role includes medication administration and hands-on personal care, helping older adults feel safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout the night. Team members are expected to bring kindness, accountability, and teamwork to every shift.
Requirements
- Current Virginia Registered Medication Aide (RMA) registration.
- A compassionate, respectful approach to caring for older adults.
- Dependability, sound judgment, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to stay attentive, organized, and responsive throughout an overnight shift.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to help teammates.
Nice To Haves
- Previous assisted living, senior living, or medication administration experience.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications accurately according to physician orders, state regulations, and community policies.
- Document medication administration and maintain accurate records.
- Complete overnight rounds, respond to resident needs, and promptly report changes in condition or medication concerns.
- Assist with personal care, toileting, mobility, and other activities of daily living.
- Follow individualized care plans while supporting residents’ dignity and independence.
- Help maintain a safe, comfortable environment throughout the night.
- Communicate clearly with nurses, care team members, and the incoming shift.
