About The Position

The Boeing Company is hiring Experienced or Senior Mechanical System Design Engineers for its Air Dominance division in Boeing Defense, Space & Security. These roles support current and emerging aircraft programs and are based in the St. Louis region, with positions located in Berkeley, Hazelwood, St. Louis, or St. Charles, Missouri, or Mascoutah, Illinois. The engineers develop, maintain, and modify air-vehicle subsystems and component designs—including armament, crew systems, environmental cooling, equipment, fuel, hydraulics, landing gear, mechanisms, and thermodynamic systems—using 3-D computer-aided design tools and other design methods. They provide product definition throughout the product lifecycle to engineering groups, production operations, suppliers, and external customers. The roles also involve establishing subsystem requirements, verifying designs through analysis and testing, coordinating supplier activities, and supporting the development of future product concepts. Level 3 engineers work under general direction. Level 4 engineers work under minimal direction and lead performance, integration, and analysis of tests. The position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance after starting; U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility. Some positions may also require Special Program Access. Boeing will not sponsor employment visas. Relocation may be available based on candidate eligibility.
