Mechanical Engineers

Central Moloney•Pine Bluff, AR

About The Position

Central Moloney is seeking experienced mechanical engineers to design, develop, improve, and troubleshoot mechanical components and assemblies for distribution transformers. The role emphasizes hands-on knowledge of sheet-metal design and welded fabrications, including how material selection, bend allowances, welds, tolerances, joints, and manufacturing processes affect finished products. Engineers work directly with manufacturing, testing, and quality teams to solve practical design and production challenges and support products from concept through manufacturing. The work includes designing transformer tanks, core-coil frame assemblies, cooling systems, lifting and handling features, and other components for custom and non-standard configurations. Engineers perform mechanical calculations, verify component layouts and clearances, use CAD and other engineering tools, and prepare manufacturing drawings, bills of materials, and 3D models. They also apply relevant industry standards, support testing and certification, participate in design reviews and root cause analysis, and contribute to design standardization and product development. This is a full-time, exempt position. The advertisement describes the position as safety-sensitive. Central Moloney is a tobacco-free facility, and tobacco products are not permitted on company property.
