About The Position

The Mechanical Express Specialist performs a variety of repairs to keep U-Haul’s fleet of trucks and trailers maintained to company standards. The role uses U-Haul’s proprietary technology to assess and care for field vehicles and requires timely, accurate work in a fast-paced team environment. Continued education on U-Haul equipment is required. Team members may also be asked to assist in additional areas as directed by their supervisor.

U-Haul provides tools and support, technician training that includes Ford and GMC classes, and a tool purchase program. Requirements

• Positive attitude.

• Understanding of automotive and trailer mechanics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Repair equipment using appropriate tools and in accordance with U-Haul standards.
• Follow work-order directions effectively.
• Complete work in a timely manner.
• Determine the causes of operating errors and decide what corrective action to take.
• Clearly identify and professionally communicate issues in positive or negative situations.
• Complete required continued education on U-Haul equipment.
• Assist in additional areas as needed, following the supervisor’s directives and guidance.
