About The Position

The Mechanical Express Specialist performs a variety of repairs to maintain U-Haul’s fleet to company standards. The role uses U-Haul’s proprietary technology to assess and care for field vehicles, and involves working in a fast-paced team environment. U-Haul provides support, tools, on-the-job training, and opportunities for career advancement. Continued U-Haul equipment education is required. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Requirements

• Familiarity with diagnostic tools.
• Understanding of automotive and trailer mechanics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Repair equipment using appropriate tools and conform to U-Haul standards.
• Follow work-order directions effectively.
• Perform work in a timely manner.
• Determine the causes of operating errors and decide what corrective action to take.
• Clearly identify and professionally communicate issues in positive or negative situations.
• Complete continued education on U-Haul equipment.
• Willingly assist in additional areas as necessary, following supervisor directives and guidance.
