About The Position

The Mechanical Express Specialist performs a variety of repairs to maintain U-Haul’s fleet to company standards. The role uses U-Haul proprietary technology to assess and care for field vehicles, working with a large fleet of trucks and trailers and newer equipment added each year. U-Haul provides support, tools, on-the-job training, and opportunities for career advancement. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship.

Requirements

• Positive attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools.
• Understanding of automotive and trailer mechanics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Repair equipment using appropriate tools and conform to U-Haul standards.
• Follow work-order directions effectively.
• Complete work in a timely manner.
• Determine the causes of operating errors and decide what corrective action to take.
• Clearly identify and professionally communicate issues in positive or negative situations.
• Continue U-Haul equipment education.
• Assist in additional areas as necessary, following the supervisor’s directives and guidance.
