About The Position

The Mechanical Express Specialist performs a variety of repairs to maintain U-Haul’s fleet of trucks and trailers to company standards. The role uses U-Haul’s proprietary technology to assess and care for field vehicles, and offers support, tools, training, and opportunities for career advancement. The position is based at 4409 W Crest, Tampa, Florida 33614. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship.

Requirements

• Positive attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools.
• Understanding of automotive and trailer mechanics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Repair equipment using appropriate tools and in accordance with U-Haul standards.
• Follow work-order directions effectively.
• Complete work in a timely manner.
• Determine the causes of operating errors and decide what action to take.
• Clearly identify and professionally communicate issues in positive or negative situations.
• Complete ongoing U-Haul equipment education.
• Assist in additional areas as needed, following supervisor direction and guidance.
