About The Position

The Mechanical Engineering Expert will contribute to an AI training project involving engineering design, physical modeling, simulation, technical problem-solving, and Python. The role involves creating, solving, reviewing, and validating engineering tasks across structural, thermal, mechanical, and multiphysics domains. Tasks may include translating physical requirements into computational models, generating geometry or meshes, applying materials and boundary conditions, running engineering simulations, and assessing whether artifacts and analyses meet applicable physical and design constraints. This is a coding-heavy contractor role, approximately 15 hours per week, with a flexible schedule. Compensation is output-based, paid per task that meets project specifications, and minimum submission requirements apply. Selected experts are expected to begin their first task within 24–48 hours after onboarding.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python.
• Mechanical engineering expertise.
• An MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline, or a strong understanding of applied mechanics and mechanical-engineering fundamentals.
• Experience developing analytical, computational, or simulation-based engineering solutions.
• Practical proficiency with coding agents.

Responsibilities

• Solve and validate mechanical-engineering problems involving design, analysis, simulation, testing, or R&D.
• Translate physical systems and engineering requirements into analytical or computational models.
• Create or modify geometry, meshes, materials, loads, contacts, constraints, and solver inputs.
• Create, solve, review, and validate engineering tasks across structural, thermal, mechanical, and multiphysics domains.
• Run engineering simulations and determine whether resulting artifacts and analyses satisfy applicable physical and design constraints.
