About The Position

The Mechanical Engineering Expert will contribute to an AI training project involving engineering design, physical modeling, simulation, technical problem-solving, and Python. The work includes creating, solving, reviewing, and validating engineering tasks across structural, thermal, mechanical, and multiphysics domains. Tasks may involve translating physical requirements into computational models, generating geometry or meshes, applying materials and boundary conditions, running simulations, and evaluating whether artifacts and analyses satisfy physical and design constraints. This is a coding-heavy role that requires experience using coding agents in the workflow.

The position is a global, fully remote contract role for approximately 15 hours per week, with flexible scheduling. Compensation is output-based: experts are paid per task that meets project specifications, subject to minimum submission requirements. Selected candidates are expected to start their first task within 24–48 hours after completing onboarding.

Requirements

• An MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline, or a strong understanding of applied mechanics and mechanical-engineering fundamentals.
• Experience developing analytical, computational, or simulation-based engineering solutions.
• Practical proficiency with coding agents.
• Experience using coding agents in the workflow.

Responsibilities

• Solve and validate mechanical-engineering problems involving design, analysis, simulation, testing, or R&D.
• Translate physical systems and engineering requirements into analytical or computational models.
• Create or modify geometry, meshes, materials, loads, contacts, constraints, and solver inputs.
