About The Position

Lake Air Products is a contract manufacturer serving medical, aerospace and defense, industrial, and other markets. The company is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for its Roseville, Minnesota location. The role prepares and assembles components using assembly instructions, blueprints, parts lists, tools, and materials; checks completed products against specifications; addresses assembly issues; and helps maintain supplies inventory. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The position may be subject to export control regulations; applicable candidates must meet U.S. Person requirements or obtain an export control license unless an exemption applies.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of varied manufacturing experience in mechanical assembly.
Ability to bend and lift; load and unload workpieces onto pallets; move between workstations; and alternate between sitting and standing.
Ability to perform repetitive work for more than 9 hours per day.
Ability to quickly learn new blueprints and perform necessary measurements.
Hand and power tool skills, including use of drills, adjustable wrenches, pliers, hammers, and screwdrivers.

Responsibilities

Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
Organize parts and subassemblies for an efficient assembly process.
Measure completed components or products to verify specifications.
Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications and notifying a supervisor when additional resources are needed.
Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock levels, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt of supplies.
