About The Position

The Mechanic provides guidance and technical direction in resolving maintenance and facilities problems. The role reports to the Facilities Manager and ensures jobs are completed efficiently, within regulatory guidelines and projected deadlines. The Mechanic inspects repair work, projects, equipment, work orders, daily maintenance, and supplies to ensure work is completed efficiently. The position also assists the Facilities Manager with maintenance projects, including site repairs and construction and preventive maintenance, to support completion within established time frames, project design, and budget. Other duties may be assigned or required.

Requirements

• Maintenance or technician experience.
• Capability to set up preventive maintenance for all aspects of buildings.
• Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints.
• Sense of urgency.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
• Availability to work onsite at a 24-hour operating facility on a flexible schedule, often including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting.
• Ability to operate carts, hand trucks, and other facilities and cleaning equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration is highly preferred.
