About The Position

The Meat/Seafood Clerk provides friendly service to guests and creates a welcoming selling environment in the meat and seafood department. The role prepares products for sale, supports receiving and inventory, stocks and rotates products, and maintains product freshness, safety, and sanitation. The position is part-time and requires working in a cold environment, standing for extended periods, and handling items weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Requirements

Good interpersonal skills, effective selling skills, and an outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others and interact with and sell to guests.
Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds constantly.
Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to work in a cold environment.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Greet guests politely and create a selling environment using selling skills.
Prepare knife-ready products for sale by slicing, trimming, wrapping, weighing, and pricing them according to Floco Foods standards.
Assist with product receiving, inventory, and storage.
Price, stock, and rotate frozen items, prepared meats, and fresh meat and seafood in sales areas.
Maintain safety and sanitation standards in areas that come into contact with meat and seafood, including preparation areas, coolers, freezers, and the sales floor.
Maintain product quality and freshness and ensure products available for sale are in date.
Communicate shrink issues to management.
Communicate guests’ requests and concerns to management.
Make PA announcements for sale and promotional items in the meat and seafood department.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
