About The Position

The Meat/Seafood Clerk works in the meat and seafood department, serving guests and preparing, stocking, and maintaining products for sale. The role includes friendly guest interactions and selling, preparing knife-ready products according to Floco Foods standards, supporting receiving and inventory, and maintaining product quality, freshness, safety, and sanitation. Requirements

Possess good interpersonal and effective selling skills and have an outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others and interact with and sell to guests.
Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds constantly.
Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
Ability to work in a cold environment.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Greet and interact politely and warmly with guests approaching the department, creating a selling environment using selling skills.
Prepare knife-ready products for sale by slicing, trimming, wrapping, weighing, and pricing them according to Floco Foods standards.
Assist with product receiving, inventory, and storage.
Price, stock, and rotate frozen items, prepared meats, and fresh meat and seafood in sales areas.
Maintain safety and sanitation standards in areas that contact meat and seafood, including preparation areas, coolers, freezers, and the sales floor.
Maintain product quality and freshness and ensure products offered for sale are in date.
Communicate shrink issues to management.
Communicate guest requests and concerns to management.
Make PA announcements for meat and seafood department sale and promotional items.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
