About The Position

Earth Fare Team Members help customers have a fulfilling store visit by answering questions and meeting their shopping needs. They guide customers toward healthy food and wellbeing and household products that meet Earth Fare’s standards. The Meat & Seafood Clerk provides customer service and product knowledge, prepares specialty meat products, and keeps the department stocked, clean, organized, rotated, and properly merchandised with accurate signage and pricing.

Requirements

• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to handle knives and other cutting equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and squat.
• Must be able to push, pull, and maneuver heavy loads.
• Must be able to stand and be on one's feet during the workday.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience.
• Basic knowledge of meat cuts and cooking techniques.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and provide product knowledge within the department.
• Prepare specialty merchandise, such as sausage, ready-to-cook products, and cured meats.
• Keep the Meat and Seafood Department well stocked, clean, organized, and rotated.
• Merchandise products appropriately, including ensuring items have proper signage and pricing.
