Cashier - Earth Fare Athens
About The Position
The Cashier helps ensure customers have a fulfilling visit by answering questions and meeting their shopping needs. In support of Earth Fare’s mission of helping people live healthy lives, the cashier helps customers select trusted healthy food and wellbeing and household products. The role provides quick, efficient, and accurate transactions in a welcoming atmosphere, works with colleagues and managers across departments to support customers, and maintains a clean and attractive front-end area. The work is in a fast-paced, customer-service-focused environment and may involve extreme cold.
Requirements
- Customer service experience or previous cash-handling experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and squat.
- Ability to push, pull, and maneuver heavy loads.
- Ability to stand and be on one's feet during the workday.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer flow by providing quick, efficient, and accurate transactions in a welcoming atmosphere.
- Collaborate with team members and managers across departments to help customers receive answers and service.
- Maintain a clean and attractive front-end environment, including the cashier station and nearby merchandising and service areas.
