About The Position

Earth Fare Team Members help ensure customers have a fulfilling store visit by answering questions and meeting their shopping needs. They help customers choose healthy, trustworthy food and wellbeing and household products that meet Earth Fare’s standards. The Meat & Seafood Clerk provides customer service and product knowledge in the department, prepares specialty merchandise, and maintains department presentation and stock.

Requirements

Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Demonstrated ability in knife handling and use of other cutting equipment, including following safety procedures.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and squat.
Must be able to push, pull, and maneuver heavy loads.
Must be able to stand and be on one's feet during the workday.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of meat cuts and cooking techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional customer service and serve as a source of product knowledge within the department.
Prepare specialty merchandise, including sausage, ready-to-cook products, and cured meats.
Keep the Meat and Seafood Department stocked, clean, organized, rotated, and appropriately merchandised, including maintaining signage and pricing.
