About The Position

The Meat Market Wrapper works in the meat department, wrapping meat and maintaining department display cases. The role includes checking product dates and rotation, inspecting cuts for quality appearance and trim, following safety and sanitation procedures, assisting with inventory counts, and maintaining scales. Additional duties may be assigned by the Meat Manager on Duty. The position requires safely working near meat-cutting and grinding equipment while it is operating and involves lifting and controlling up to 40 pounds, as well as standing, walking, reaching, twisting, bending or stooping, and repetitive arm and hand movements.

Requirements

• Ability to safely be near or around meat-cutting and grinding equipment in the department while it is operating.
• Ability to lift and control up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, twist, bend or stoop, and perform repetitive arm and hand movements.

Responsibilities

• Check dates and ensure proper rotation of all meat products.
• Check cuts to ensure quality appearance and trim.
• Follow proper safety and sanitation procedures.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory counts.
• Wrap meat and work display cases in the department.
• Observe proper scale maintenance and sanitation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Meat Manager on Duty.
