About The Position

Our Meat and Seafood Department holds the center stage for any exquisite meal. We provide only the best quality meats that are lifetime antibiotic and hormone free. Prime Beef is the standard our customers expect from us. If you are an experienced Meat Cutter who understands the magic of the “center of the plate” - this position is for you! This culinary art sometimes takes years of experience and can’t be gained in a week-long training session. We are looking for an experienced person to help us create a happy customer. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, with meat knowledge and cutting skills.

Requirements

Food safety expertise.
A willingness to learn about and taste great food.
A willingness to practice the DLM Team Values: Be Honest, Safe, Helpful, and Hard-Working
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Basic mathematical skills.
Prior meat cutting experience preferred.
18 years or older.
Must have holiday and weekend availability.
Standing for long periods, bending, kneeling, and walking.
Lifting up to 60 lbs.
Ability to work in colder environments.
Ability to safely use knives, saws, grinders, and other cutting equipment.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service both in person and over the phone, including custom cuts, product recommendations, cooking guidance, and special orders.
Skillfully prepare cuts of beef, chicken, pork, lamb, veal, and specialty items to standard.
Maintain strict food safety and sanitation practices.
Set and maintain fresh, appealing displays, ensuring proper rotation.
Safely operate and maintain equipment such as saws, grinders, slicers, and knives.
Follow daily production plans, and support department operations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
