Sam’s Club is hiring a Meat Cutter and Wrapper for its new Katy, Texas club. As a founding associate, the employee will help establish the member experience and support the club’s operations and culture. The role prepares fresh meat—including boneless cuts—for members by cutting, grinding, wrapping, trimming, and packaging products, while maintaining freshness, inventory, quality, and presentation standards in a high-volume environment. It also involves providing friendly, knowledgeable member service and collaborating with associates to keep the department running smoothly. The position requires safe operation, maintenance, and sanitation of meat-cutting equipment, as well as attention to product safety, sanitation, date control, labeling, storage, and inventory management. Associates use handheld technology to make decisions about production and product quality, handle merchandise appropriately to reduce waste and shrink, and may assist other areas as needed. The role involves standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and flexible scheduling that includes weekends and holidays. Sam’s Club describes the opportunity as a chance to grow a career with training and development opportunities, competitive pay, paid time off, benefits, career advancement, and access to its company-paid Live Better U education program. The hourly wage range is $17.00 to $25.00, with possible premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Applicants must be at least 18 and must complete required job trainings and assessments within the prescribed period if hired.
