PT Meat Clerk TFM
About The Position
Meat Clerks work in a fast-paced, multifunctional environment, independently or with others, in a cool or cold environment. They assist customers as needed; handle raw meat products for wrapping, pricing, and stocking in display cases; operate meat department equipment; and help maintain clean, sanitary work areas and displays. The role involves regular movement and handling of products, including lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds. The retail work environment ranges from regular temperatures to cooler areas, with noise levels from quiet to loud. The position requires minimal sitting. Store hours are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week; specific working hours are not stated. Starting pay is negotiable, with a stated hourly pay range of $15.00 to $20.10.
Requirements
- Be highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Have strong listening and communication skills.
- Be able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using equipment.
- Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Regularly stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk around the store.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers when applicable.
- Work quickly and carefully while stocking and wrapping items at a reasonable pace.
- Handle raw meat products to wrap, price, and stock them in display cases.
- Operate meat department equipment such as an automatic wrapper, scale, and slicer.
- Lift and load products weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Sweep, clean, and sanitize workstations as assigned by the Meat Staff Leader.
- Clean display cases and replenish supplies as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
