Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Board certification or board eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction (Tipton area).
Associate-level experience in obstetrics and gynecology, with demonstrated clinical competency.
Strong knowledge of current obstetric and gynecologic practices, procedures, and protocols.
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction and teamwork.
Ability to manage high-pressure situations, including emergency deliveries and surgical complications.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Malpractice insurance coverage (or ability to obtain as a locum tenens physician).
Flexibility to work on a contract basis with variable scheduling as needed.
BLS certification.

IUD/Nexplanon insertion/removal, colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, and NST evaluation

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients in an on-site clinical setting.
Conduct routine examinations, prenatal care, and postnatal care.
Diagnose and treat conditions related to the female reproductive system.
Perform surgical procedures including cesarean sections, hysterectomies, and other gynecologic surgeries as required.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as ultrasounds, lab work, and imaging studies.
Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with nursing and support staff.
Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with practice policies and regulations.
Counsel patients on preventive health measures, family planning, and reproductive health.
Respond to obstetric emergencies and provide on-call coverage as scheduled.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review complex cases and improve care quality.
Adhere to all medical, ethical, and legal standards of practice.
Support the training and supervision of residents, medical students, and other healthcare professionals when applicable.
