Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Active medical license in good standing to practice as an Ob/Gyn
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Associate-level clinical experience in providing obstetric and gynecologic care
  • Strong clinical skills in labor and delivery, prenatal care, and gynecological procedures
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Excellent patient communication, bedside manner, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Flexibility to adapt quickly to new clinical environments and patient populations
  • Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients of all ages
  • Perform routine prenatal examinations, fetal monitoring, and delivery management
  • Conduct gynecological exams, screenings, and minimally invasive procedures
  • Diagnose and treat conditions related to the female reproductive system
  • Collaborate with nurses, midwives, specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated patient care
  • Document patient histories, examinations, and treatment plans accurately in electronic medical records
  • Educate patients and families regarding reproductive health, contraception, pregnancy, and wellness
  • Participate in on-call coverage and emergency obstetric care as required
  • Adhere to clinical protocols, safety standards, and medical regulations
  • Maintain continuity of care throughout assigned locum tenens assignments
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care
