About The Position

This contract, on-site position offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality psychiatric care to a diverse patient population while working within a supportive healthcare team. As an Associate-level physician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with various mental health conditions, developing effective treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care. Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Valid and unrestricted state medical license to practice psychiatry.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
  • Associate-level experience in psychiatric practice, including diagnosis and treatment.
  • Strong diagnostic, clinical, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build rapport with patients and teams.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a contract, on-site setting.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and documentation.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care, empathy, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage high-stress situations and crisis interventions calmly.
  • Flexibility to meet the scheduling requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and best practices.
  • Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, monitoring efficacy and side effects.
  • Provide crisis intervention and emergency psychiatric care when necessary.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, social workers, and primary care physicians.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records and documentation.
  • Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and recovery strategies.
  • Participate in case reviews, clinical meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable medical, ethical, and legal regulations.
  • Provide consistent on-site psychiatric coverage for scheduled shifts and patient needs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to support continuity of care.
  • Stay current with advances in psychiatric treatments, research, and clinical guidelines.
