As a Locum Radiology MD, you will play a critical role in interpreting diagnostic images, delivering accurate and timely reports, and collaborating with referring physicians to support optimal patient outcomes. Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Board certification or active board eligibility in Radiology
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
  • Associate-level experience in radiology or diagnostic imaging
  • Proficiency in interpreting a broad range of imaging modalities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in diagnostic reporting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clinical teams
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload efficiently
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical medical standards
  • Malpractice insurance coverage or ability to obtain it for the contract period

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and report on diagnostic imaging studies, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound examinations
  • Provide accurate and timely preliminary and final radiology reports for referring physicians
  • Consult with clinical teams to discuss imaging findings and recommend appropriate follow-up procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant medical, safety, and quality standards in radiology practice
  • Review patient histories and prior imaging to ensure accurate diagnostic interpretation
  • Collaborate with radiologic technologists to optimize image quality and protocol adherence
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences as required
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in radiology and diagnostic imaging techniques
  • Document all findings accurately in the electronic medical records system
  • Cover on-site radiology shifts according to the agreed contract schedule
