About The Position

This is an on-site, contract position offering an excellent opportunity for a dedicated radiologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services in a dynamic clinical environment. As a Locum physician, you will play a vital role in delivering accurate and timely radiology interpretations, supporting referring physicians, and ensuring exceptional patient care across a variety of imaging modalities. Your expertise will directly contribute to the efficiency and clinical excellence of our practice, helping us maintain the highest standards of diagnostic accuracy and patient safety.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
  • Board certification in Radiology, or active eligibility for board certification
  • Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in Tennessee
  • Valid DEA registration and compliance with all state and federal regulations
  • Associate-level clinical experience in radiology, including diagnostic imaging interpretation
  • Experience working in a medical practice, hospital, or similar clinical setting
  • Strong diagnostic and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with clinical teams
  • Proficiency with PACS, radiology information systems, and standard imaging software
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
  • BLS, ACLS, and DEA required

Responsibilities

  • Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging studies, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound, with accuracy and precision
  • Provide comprehensive radiology reports in a timely manner to support clinical decision-making
  • Consult with referring physicians and clinical teams regarding imaging findings and recommended follow-up
  • Ensure patient safety and adherence to established radiology protocols and procedures
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation in compliance with medical and regulatory standards
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and treatment plans
  • Supervise and support radiology technologists and support staff during imaging procedures
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and continuous enhancement of radiology services
  • Cover scheduled on-site shifts and remain flexible to meet departmental coverage needs
  • Stay current with advancements in radiology technology and best practices
