About The Position

This full-time, on-site position offers an excellent opportunity for an associate-level physician to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services in a supportive and clinically focused environment. As a Locum Radiology Physician, you will play a vital role in interpreting diagnostic imaging studies, collaborating with referring clinicians, and ensuring accurate and timely results that directly impact patient outcomes. Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Radiology
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in the relevant jurisdiction (or ability to obtain one)
  • Successful completion of an accredited radiology residency program
  • Strong diagnostic interpretation skills across multiple imaging modalities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective consultation and reporting
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment
  • Commitment to high-quality patient care, safety, and continuous improvement
  • ACLS and BLS required

Nice To Haves

  • Fellowship training in a radiology subspecialty (e.g., neuroradiology, body imaging, MSK)
  • Prior locum tenens or associate-level radiology experience is a plus
  • Must be able to cover stroke cases

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and report on diagnostic imaging studies, including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy
  • Perform image-guided procedures with precision and adherence to safety protocols
  • Consult with referring physicians to provide accurate diagnostic insights and recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with radiology safety standards, including radiation dose optimization and ALARA principles
  • Document findings in a timely and accurate manner within the electronic health record system
  • Collaborate closely with radiologic technologists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in multidisciplinary patient care discussions and tumor boards as needed
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in radiology and imaging technology
  • Adhere to medical ethics, patient confidentiality, and HIPAA regulations at all times
  • Support on-call and coverage needs to ensure continuous diagnostic availability
