About The Position

This contract position offers an exceptional opportunity for an associate-level physician to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services within a dynamic medical practice environment. As a Locum Radiologist, you will be responsible for interpreting a variety of imaging studies, delivering accurate diagnoses, and collaborating closely with referring physicians to guide patient care. You will work on-site alongside our experienced clinical team, ensuring timely and precise radiological interpretations that directly impact treatment decisions and patient outcomes.

Requirements

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
Board certification or active board eligibility in Radiology.
Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of practice, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
Associate-level experience in diagnostic radiology, with demonstrated proficiency in interpreting imaging studies.
Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic accuracy in a fast-paced medical environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear, concise reporting and consultation.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team of physicians, technologists, and support staff.
Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and adherence to medical protocols.
Familiarity with PACS, EMR systems, and teleradiology tools commonly used in modern radiology practice.
Current CPR/BLS certification, with ACLS preferred.
Must be board-certified.

Nice To Haves

Level II Trauma experience
Experience with Spine procedures, ports and central line placements, solid organ biopsies and drainages, oncology interventions and image-guided therapies, kyphoplasty, breast biopsies.

Responsibilities

Interpret and report on diagnostic imaging studies, including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy.
Provide accurate and timely radiological diagnoses to referring physicians and clinical staff.
Consult with other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management and care coordination.
Adhere to established radiology safety standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Document findings and maintain detailed patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Collaborate with radiologic technologists and support personnel to optimize imaging quality and workflow.
Participate in on-call coverage and urgent imaging needs as required by the department.
Contribute to quality assurance programs and continuous improvement initiatives within the radiology department.
Stay current with advancements in radiology, imaging technology, and best practices in diagnostic medicine.
Uphold patient confidentiality and medical ethics in all interactions and documentation.
