As a Locum Ob/Gyn, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, performing examinations, managing pregnancies, and supporting surgical procedures. Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Board certification or active candidacy in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Indiana (or ability to obtain before start)
  • Associate-level experience in obstetrics and gynecology or related clinical practice
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Compassion and dedication to patient-centered care
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and on-call responsibilities
  • Current CPR/BLS and NRP certifications
  • Willingness to adhere to flexible scheduling as required for a contract role

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients of all ages
  • Perform routine gynecological examinations and screenings
  • Manage prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care
  • Assist in or perform surgical procedures, including C-sections and minimally invasive surgeries
  • Diagnose and treat conditions affecting the female reproductive system
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Collaborate with nurses, midwives, and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records
  • Provide patient education on reproductive health, contraception, and menopause
  • Respond to obstetric emergencies and provide on-call coverage as required
  • Adhere to hospital and clinic policies, procedures, and safety standards
