About The Position
This on-site, contract position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled physician to deliver comprehensive women's health care in a dynamic clinical environment. As a Locum Ob/Gyn, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, performing examinations, managing pregnancies, and supporting surgical procedures. You will work closely with our collaborative team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Board certification or active candidacy in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Indiana (or ability to obtain before start)
- Associate-level experience in obstetrics and gynecology or related clinical practice
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Compassion and dedication to patient-centered care
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and on-call responsibilities
- Current CPR/BLS and NRP certifications
- Willingness to adhere to flexible scheduling as required for a contract role
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients of all ages
- Perform routine gynecological examinations and screenings
- Manage prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care
- Assist in or perform surgical procedures, including C-sections and minimally invasive surgeries
- Diagnose and treat conditions affecting the female reproductive system
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Collaborate with nurses, midwives, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records
- Provide patient education on reproductive health, contraception, and menopause
- Respond to obstetric emergencies and provide on-call coverage as required
- Adhere to hospital and clinic policies, procedures, and safety standards
