About The Position

This is a contract, on-site position within the Medical Practice industry, structured for an Associate-level provider who is ready to deliver high-quality women's health care in a focused, flexible clinical setting. As a locum Obstetrician-Gynecologist, you will provide comprehensive care across obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive health. Your responsibilities include diagnosing and treating conditions, managing pregnancies, performing gynecological procedures, and guiding patients through treatment plans. Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD/DO) from an accredited medical school; Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Ob/Gyn
  • Associate-level clinical experience in obstetrics and women's health care
  • Active state medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure in the practice location
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and procedural skills
  • Excellent patient communication and bedside manner
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, quality care, and evidence-based medicine
  • Willingness to work on-site in Newport for the duration of the contract
  • Must be board-certified

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to patients in Newport
  • Perform gynecological exams, diagnostic evaluations, and assessments for patients of all ages
  • Manage prenatal care, labor, delivery, and postpartum care
  • Diagnose and treat conditions related to the reproductive system and female health
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including ultrasound, lab work, and imaging
  • Collaborate with nurses, midwives, and specialist physicians to ensure coordinated patient care
  • Educate patients on family planning, contraception, menopause, and preventive health measures
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and clinical documentation
  • Support on-call coverage and emergency obstetric procedures as needed
  • Adhere to medical practice protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
