About The Position
Brightmont Academy is hiring a part-time Math & Science Teacher to provide personalized, one-to-one instruction to students in grades 1–12. Teachers tailor instruction to each student’s needs and learning style and use a gradual-release approach to help students build confidence and achieve mastery. The role offers a flexible schedule and focuses on teaching without lesson planning, parent conferences, or grading outside of instruction. Professional development opportunities are available.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a subject area such as Math, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or Biology.
- Patience and empathy, with a commitment to supporting students who learn differently.
- Genuine passion for teaching and sharing subject knowledge with the next generation.
- Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).
- Ability to provide fingerprints in Arizona or Washington, where applicable, and pass a federal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Teaching certification.
- Advanced degree in a specific subject area of expertise.
- Previous one-to-one teaching experience.
