About The Position
Brightmont Academy provides personalized one-to-one instruction to students in grades 1–12. The Math & Science Teacher teaches students individually, adapting instruction to their needs and learning styles and using a gradual-release approach to help them master material and build confidence. The role focuses on teaching rather than lesson planning, parent conferences, or extensive grading. Professional development opportunities are available.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area, such as Math, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or Biology.
- Patience and empathy, including a commitment to supporting students with different learning needs.
- Genuine passion for teaching and sharing subject-area knowledge.
- Proficiency using G-Suite and learning management software (LMS).
- Ability to provide fingerprints in Arizona or Washington, if applicable, and pass a federal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Teaching certification.
- Advanced degree in a specific subject area of expertise.
- Previous one-to-one teaching experience.
