About The Position
Brightmont Academy seeks a part-time Math & Science Teacher to provide personalized one-to-one instruction to students in grades 1–12. Teachers tailor lessons to each student’s needs and learning style and guide students toward mastery through a gradual-release approach that builds confidence and academic success. The role does not require lesson planning, parent conferences, or grading outside of instruction. Professional development opportunities are available.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area, such as Math, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or Biology.
- Patience and empathy, including a commitment to supporting students with different learning needs.
- Genuine passion for teaching and sharing subject-area knowledge.
- Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).
- Ability to provide fingerprints in Arizona or Washington, where applicable, and pass a federal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Teaching certification.
- Advanced degree in a specific subject area of expertise.
- Previous one-to-one teaching experience.
