About The Position

Brightmont Academy is hiring a part-time Math & Science Teacher to provide personalized one-to-one instruction to students in grades 1–12. Teachers tailor instruction to each student’s needs and learning style and use a gradual-release approach to help students build confidence and achieve mastery. The role focuses on teaching and supporting students without lesson planning, parent conferences, or grading outside of instruction. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area, such as mathematics, chemistry, physics, engineering, or biology.
• Patience and empathy, with a commitment to supporting students who learn in different ways.
• Genuine passion for teaching and sharing subject knowledge with students.
• Proficiency using G-Suite and learning management software (LMS).
• Ability to provide fingerprints in Arizona or Washington, where applicable, and pass a federal background check.

Nice To Haves

• Teaching certification; it is not required.
• Advanced degree in a specific subject area of expertise.
• Previous one-to-one teaching experience.
