About The Position
Brightmont Academy is hiring a part-time Math & Science Teacher to provide personalized, one-to-one instruction to students in grades 1–12. Teachers tailor lessons to students’ individual needs and learning styles and guide them toward mastery through a gradual-release approach that builds confidence and academic success. The role offers a flexible schedule and does not require lesson planning, parent conferences, or grading outside teaching. Professional development opportunities are available.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area, such as Math, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or Biology.
- Patience and empathy, with a commitment to supporting students who learn differently.
- Genuine passion for teaching and sharing subject-area knowledge.
- Proficiency using G-Suite and learning management software (LMS).
- Ability to provide fingerprints in Arizona or Washington and pass a federal background check.

- Teaching certification.
- Advanced degree in a subject-area specialty.
- Previous one-to-one teaching experience.
