Part Time Math & Science Teacher - 1-to-1 Education
About The Position
Brightmont Academy is hiring a part-time Math & Science Teacher to provide personalized, one-to-one instruction to students in grades 1–12. Teachers tailor lessons to students’ individual needs and learning styles and guide them toward mastery using a gradual-release approach that builds confidence and academic success. The position offers a flexible schedule and hourly pay of $22–$23. Lesson planning, parent conferences, and grading are not part of the role, allowing teachers to focus on instruction. Brightmont Academy offers professional development opportunities. The company has provided personalized one-to-one instruction since 1999 and operates 28 campuses across 11 states.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a subject area such as Math, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or Biology.
- Patience and empathy, with a commitment to supporting students with different learning needs.
- Genuine passion for teaching and sharing subject knowledge.
- Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).
- Ability to provide fingerprints in Arizona or Washington, if applicable, and pass a federal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Teaching certification; it is not required.
- Advanced degree in a specific subject area of expertise.
- Previous one-to-one teaching experience.
