Math Instructor / Tutor
About The Position
Mathnasium of Vista is seeking Math Instructor / Tutors to teach K–12th grade students in person at the learning center. Instructors use the Mathnasium Method™, including its terminology and teaching practices, to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting. They assess students’ learning progress and engagement during instructional sessions and become proficient with the center’s educational materials and processes. The role offers consistent part-time hours after school and on weekends, training, and opportunities for advancement. Mathnasium Learning Centers aim to help children understand, master, and love math. Their curriculum is built on the Mathnasium Method™, developed through decades of hands-on instruction. Each Mathnasium location is independently owned and operated by a franchisee, which is responsible for employment matters and would be the employer for this role.
Requirements
- Passion for math and working with students.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to learn and be trained.
- Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I.
- Pass a math literacy test as part of the hiring process to demonstrate math proficiency.
Responsibilities

- Collaborate with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting.
- Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions.
