Math Instructor / Tutor
About The Position
Mathnasium is seeking a Math Instructor / Tutor to teach K–12 students in-center and/or online using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices. Instructors work collaboratively with team members to provide individualized instruction in a group setting, assess students’ learning progress and engagement, and become proficient with digital educational materials and processes. The role offers consistent part-time hours after school and on weekends, training, and opportunities for advancement. Applicants must complete a math literacy test to demonstrate proficiency. Mathnasium Learning Centers teach children math so they can understand it, master it, and love it. Their curriculum is based on the Mathnasium Method™, developed through decades of hands-on instruction. Locations are independently owned and operated by franchisees, who are responsible for employment matters and serve as the employer for staff at their centers.
Requirements
- Passion for math and working with students.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to learn and be trained.
- Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I.
- Complete a math literacy test as part of the hiring process to demonstrate math proficiency.
